St Aidan Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
The chardonnays from St Aidan have been very good for some time now. This is another. Creamy and largely fruit driven with an underlay of cashew and stone fruit. There are some nice mealy characters in there as well. The palate is well balanced with the oak applied with subtlety.

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
This is a superbly made current drinking chardonnay. A mix of stone fruit, cashew and light juicy citrus tang combine to bring this wine to life. It's fresh and flavoursome and ideal for short term drinking. Like the light touch of oak to spruce things up a little.

Ray Jordan (2006 Vintage) says
Shows some slightly toasty aromas merging with stone fruit and subtle marmalade on the nose. Fruit-driven wine but with some nice understated oak treatment adding complexity. Lovely current drinking wine.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
A generous wine with quality oak, and very good concentration; unctuous on the finish, with good flavour and length.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Light- to medium-bodied; gently sweet nectarine fruit, with the faintest whisk of oak.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Moderate weight and complexity; lacks fruit intensity, but has positive oak.
