Stanrock Pinot Gris
This more off-dry style of PG out of New Zealand is at the riper end of the scale at 13.5% alcohol, and shows pears, Granny Smith apples, subtle honey and spice on the nose, whilst the palate is more medium bodied with some richness to the fruit, ripe pear and honey flavours, a refreshing line of citrusy acidity, before a smooth, slightly sweet finish. Asian seafood dishes would be great with this.
This Pinot Gris shows a minerality typical of the Awatere Terroir, layers of pears, green apple and gentle citrus notes, with a good palate weight and a textured spicy finish. A medium dry wine.
