Cracka Review

Coming in a very handy half-bottle, it's made from the muscat grape, which is what gives it the highly aromatic, fragrant nose. The palate is sweet and crisp with a taste that will remind you of Turkish Delight, along with a touch of orange rind and a soft, slightly spritzy mouthfeel. Best served with a slight chill and enjoyed with your mates over a big bowl of fruit salad.

Winemaker's Notes

The finest Muscat grape, the Muscat Rosa À Petits Grains is used to create Stella Bella Pink Muscat. Our Pink Muscat is inspired by the Italian Moscato d’Asti wine from the Piedmont region in Italy’s north, which is made from this same grape. The wine is grapey, low in alcohol and lightly ‘frizzante’ (semi-sparkling).

Appearance: A brilliant rosy pink colour.

Nose: The wine has an immensely appealing bouquet of rosewater and Turkish Delight, intertwined with orange blossom and musk.

Palate: The spritzy palate is brightly fruity, displaying fresh strawberry and Turkish Delight flavours, combining zesty fresh acidity to deliver a lithe, fresh and delicate finish.

Food: Enjoy as a palate cleanser as part of a dégustation menu, with a fruit platter on a hot summer’s afternoon or with vanilla panna cotta and fresh strawberries.

Cellaring: Drink whilst youthful and fresh, from chilled champagne flutes!

Alcohol: 7.5%

Grape Variety: Muscat Rose a Petits Grains 100%.

Mid-salmon colour and the faintest visible bubbles on pouring, this is a classic moscato-style, smells of grapes, honeysuckle and red apples, a little Turkish delight, spritzy on the tongue and nicely balanced, not too sweet, leaves rose water flavour through the finish, ideal for summer. Refreshing and not cloying.

Lovely fresh style with attractive musky characters. Sweet perfumed nose and flavoursome muscat palate with good acid balance and structure.

At the outer edge of grapey sweetness, but hauled back by crisp acidity; very clever winemaking. Note 7.5° alcohol.

Very clever winemaking; a brilliant balance of fruit, alcohol, acidity and residual sugar, all leaving the mouth fresh yet satisfied.

Janice McDonald at Stella Bella makes this as a moscato using fruit from the deep south of Margaret River. It is low in alcohol, slightly fizzy and sweet. It has delicate grape and musk stick flavours, is vibrant and sweet with a fresh, clean, crisp finish.

Vivid pink; grapey/juicy aromas and flavours are cleverly balanced on the palate to provide a wholly seductive glass of fun.
