Michael Cooper (2011 Vintage) says
Estate-grown in Hawke's Bay and handled entirely in tanks, the 2011 vintage is full-bodied, with a spicy, perfumed bouquet. Concentrated, citrusy, gingery and well-spiced, with a hint of oranges, it's a sweet (100 grams/litre of residual sugar), intensely varietal wine with excellent ripeness and richness.

Michael Cooper (2005 Vintage) says
The 2005 vintage was fully barrel-fermented. It's a distinctive Hawke's Bay wine, weighty, with rich grapefruit, orange and spice flavours, not honeyed but sweet (100 grams/litre of residual sugar), crisp, complex and intensely varietal. Re-tasted in 2007, it's still very fresh and maturing superbly.

Michael Cooper (1996 Vintage) says
The 1994 vintage of this Hawke's Bay wine is lovely, with a soaring bouquet of pepper and honey and a rich, concentrated, lusciously fruity palate, chockful of flavour. The '95 is less intense, but still attractive. The 1996 vintage is clearly one of the best yet. Harvested at 30' brix and fermented in new French oak casks, it's an impressively weighty wine with a voluminous, spicy, earthy, rather Alsace-like fragrance. The palate is rich and subtle, with sweet, concentrated , complex, lingering flavours.
