Pinotage is the noble red of South Africa, and is a cross between pinot noir and cinsaut. This is more medium-bodied than the 'Bush Vine' version, and shows bright forest fruits on the nose, along with plums and a touch of smokiness. The palate is quite elegant, with juicy red and dark berry flavours, a mellowness to the tannins, and a smooth, spiced plum finish. Goes amazingly well with Indian curries.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Intense ruby red colour.

Nose: Lots of ripe cherries and red berry flavours on the nose.

Palate: A lovely fruity Pinotage with hints of brambles and strawberries. This Pinotage is medium to full bodied and well balanced on the palate with a lingering plum aftertaste.

Food: Enjoy with light red meat dishes like seared steak or grilled lamb skewers with bacon and rosemary seasoning.

Cellaring: Drink now or cellar for 1-2 years.

Alcohol: 13.4%
