Cracka Review

The perfect white wine for a barbie or party, this crowd pleasing Chardonnay delivers excellent bang for your buck. Its nose shows ripe peach and melon aromas and these continue on its richly flavoured palate. A whisper of toasty, nutty oak adds complexity and cleansing acidity lends great balance. This crowd pleaser is as versatile as it is tasty and it’s good with, or without food.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw with a youthful green hue. Lifted aromas of tropical punch, lemon and honeydew are complimented by a hint of roasted cashew. Flavours of rock melon, tropical punch and lemon sherbet are entwined with juicy acids.

This fresh white wine is the perfect partner to many styles of modern Australian food including those with an Asian or Mediterranean twist.

Talinga Park is the budget label of the Riverina's Nugan Estate and is sourced from that region. While the 2005 is not in the class of the 2004, it's a pleasant, fairly priced, easy-drinking chardonnay.

Pretty butterscotch bottle development visible on the nose, and a flavoursome, aged, toasty palate. Oak apparent but balanced.

If you like the slightly more old-fashioned, ripe and golden chardonnay style, this cheapie from the Nugan family wine company is drinking really well right now-it's creamy and satisfying, in a very soft and approachable way.
