Talisman Wines Ferguson Valley Riesling

Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2012 Vintage) says
Highly fragrant aromatics in this delicate riesling from the Ferguson Valley. Has a spicy lemon scent on the nose and a precise crisp fine palate. The flavour is persistent and long. Ideal aperitif but has the composition for cellaring.

James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Pale quartz; the low alcohol and light colour suggest the wine will have significant residual sugar-but it doesnÕt; instead it has delicate flavours of herb, crushed lime leaf, green apple and crunchy acidity on the dry finish. Deserves, and will repay, patience.

Ray Jordan (2011 Vintage) says
This is an almost atypical Australian riesling,. It has a distinctive minerally spicy character on the nose which is most appealing. Just the faintest edge of citrus and a little floral nuance. The palate is deeply flavoursome but so delicate and light. It is a compelling combination of an excellent wine.

Pale straw-green; has excellent varietal character on both bouquet and palate, with ripe citrus balanced by perfect acidity; the finish is long and crystal bright. Ferguson Valley, incidentally, is in the Geographe region of WA.
