James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Attractive vibrant hue; incredibly youthful bouquet, unevolved and thoroughly beguiling; layered and sophisticated, with red fruits coming to the fore, but only to be trumped by intriguing aromas of subtle spices and a touch of the forest floor; the palate delivers a lovely velvet-like experience that is truly expansive and the oak merely supports the array of flavours; the finish is surprisingly long.

Dense oaky/mint nose showing some development. Sweet fruit palate with some savoury notes and fine tannins.

Nick Stock (2006 Vintage) says
This is a warm, charming style of rich pinot from the warmer '06 vintage. Very alluring, comforting baking spices on the nose here. The palate has plenty of spice, too, and richer cherry and berry fruits. The palate wields handy concentration and is already starting to offer the fluffy, softer side of tannin that's long and evenly weighted. Great balance and length - a class act!

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Intense and focused, at the top end of the great Tasmanian vintage; all it needs is time to unfold its magic; long, penetrating red and black fruits.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Medium-bodied; quite stylish and spicy; good length.
