Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Light, clear colour; shiraz co-fermented with a small amount of trebbiano, both from the 1919 estate plantings; the trebbiano seems to underline the sweet fruit flavours, making the wine seem higher in alcohol than it in fact is. Two-faced indeed (lanus is an alternative spelling of Janus).
