McLaren Vale with a great depth and generosity of sweet middle-palate fruit and sweet spicy oak in a contemporary oak format and oak tannins to finish

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Sweet fruit aromas verging on stewed. Full, fleshy palate - soft in the mouth and perfectly balanced.

Nick Stock (2005 Vintage) says
Tapestry sits in one of the best vantage points in the north of the Vale, looking out towards the Gulf from whence this wine's name originates. A striking nose of sarsaparilla, liquorice and ripe plums - super-rich palate, really ripe and dense, more plums and plum pudding flavours, raisins and toasty oak through the finish. Quite the blockbuster.

WINESTATE (2005 Vintage) says
Leathery licorice nose - very complex. Lots of lovely long, lingering, raisined flavours on a well-structured savoury palate.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
The colour is already fractionally more developed thanks to the cork; an extremely luscious and concentrated version of the varietal wine, with more fruit, more chocolate, more depth and more alcohol -the latter a guess, for it is nowhere specified on eit

Rich, very complex; strong American oak infusion but seamless integration; not jammy; ripe tannins.
