James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Elegant yet powerful; the full Chambolle Musigny peacock's tail opens on the finish; very fine, long, savoury tannins; has years to develop even more personality. A single barrel made.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; an ultra-complex bouquet with potent plum and spice aromas, almost into plum pudding; the very rich and intense palate has a tapestry of flavours centred around plum and spice; great length and balance and an outstanding Pinot.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the bouquet is complex, with spicy/stalky/plummy aromas, but is less rich than the 2000. The palate, however, has pronounced varietal character in good style, with that hallmark length of top flight Pinot Noir.
