Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Pure cabernet in every sniff of this limited production wine. The bouquet shows that slightly minty leafy character over the black currant and dark plum. Firm tannins and fine grained oak threads effortlessly through the dense and concentrated cabernet. Immensely powerful with a degree of finesse and poise. Needs some time.

Ray Jordan (2007 Vintage) says
The standard version of this won a gold medal at Sydney, so it should indicate that this is a beauty Ð it is. Has a beautiful aroma of black currant, cedar and tobacco leaf with a fine floral infusion. Concentrated and immensely powerful palate retains an elegance and style of the best cabernets. Cellar door only

Nice integration of spicy cassis fruit with toasty oak and ripe, grippy tannins. 3-5

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
The bottle we tasted was Bottle 0929 of only 1846, which means that only 153 dozen were made. Tiny production. Very impressed by this. It's a powerful wine with perfumed leafy scents, good oak underpinning, blackcurrant and mulberry fruit flavours, some regional earthiness and a wealth of rich, ripe tannin. It needs time to settle and soften, and given that, it could score even higher. Needs a slosh in the decanter to taste at its best.
