James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Lashings of black fruit flavours, but the alcohol comes thundering over the top - a pity; time may help.

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Aromatic bouquet - has violets and mocha and subtle oak with a hint of hessian-like characters. Great chocolaty fruit concentration on palate - tastes like Cherry Ripe. Grippy tannins.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
A very big-framed wine with lots of red and black fruits plus earth, chocolate and moch. The alcohol slightly strips the fruit on the finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2008 2007
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Deep purple-red; densely lush, luscious, sweet plum, prune, licorice and blackberry; sweetness from the high alcohol, presumably. Oak plays second fiddle.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Strong colour; archetypal Heathcote layered, sweet blackberry and plum fruit off-set by velvety, fine tannins. Excellent oak handling.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Deep, almost opaque colour; smooth, ripe, concentrated blackberry and plum fruit, complexed by touches of pepper and spice; excellent management of tannins and oak.
