Grown in Hawke's Bay and made by the traditional carbonic maceration technique of Beaujolais, the 2002 vintage is light pink/red, with attractive, berryish aromas. Buoyantly fruity and supple, with plum/cherry flavours and acids well under control, it's light and smooth, but needs greater intensity to be a fully successful, light dry red. A good debut.
