Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
Grown at Roys Hill, in Hawke's Bay, and matured for 15 months in French oak barriques, the 2001 vintage is a flavoursome wine with full, youthful colour and fragrant, black-pepper aromas. Spicy and earthy, it's a moderately ripe-tasting wine with good complexity and a slightly high-acid finish."

Michael Cooper (2000 Vintage) says
Grown at Roys Hill, in Hawke's Bay, and matured for 10 months in French (principally) and American oak barriques (15 per cent new), the 2000 vintage is an easy-drinking red with fresh, spicy, peppery aromas and flavours in a strongly varietal style with good but not great depth and a smooth finish.

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
The 1999 vintage is a promising debut. Grown at Roys Hill, in Hawke's Bay, and matured for a year in French and American oak barriques, it's a full-coloured wine with a fragrant, spicy nose showing toasty oak aromas. Strongly varietal, it shows sweet, ripe fruit characters and good depth of raspberry/spice flavours, fresh and smooth.
