Michael Cooper (2004 Vintage) says
This single-vineyard Hawke's Bay red is whole-hunch fermented (in the traditional Beaujolais manner) and matured for four months in old French oak casks. The 200. 3 vintage was delicious in its youth - bright ruby, with an enticingly floral bouquet, sweet fruit characters, fresh, strong raspberry and spice flavours and gentle tannins. The light ruby-hued 2004 is smooth and supple, with fresh, strong cherry, plum and raspberry flavours.

Ruby-hued, with raspberryish aromas, the 2002 vintage is a single-vineyard Hawke's Bay wine, whole-bunch fermented (in the traditional Beaujolais manner) and oak-aged for four months. Fresh, ripe, berryish and smooth, it's less immediately seductive than a top Beaujolais, but hits the target as an enjoyable light red. The 2003 is delicious in its youth. Bright ruby, with an enticingly floral bouquet, it has sweet-fruit characters, fresh, strong raspberry and spice flavours and gentle tannins
