Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Syrah

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The good-value 2009 vintage was made by co-fermenting Syrah, estate-grown and hand-picked in the Woodthorpe Vineyard, in Hawke's Bay, with a splash (4 per cent) of Viognier. French oak-aged for 13 months, it has a floral, peppery bouquet, leading into a fresh, supple wine with very good depth of plum/spice flavours, a touch of complexity and lots of drink-young appeal.
