Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
This estate-grown wine is from Woodthorpe Terraces, on the south side of the Dart moor Valley in Hawke's Bay. Hand-picked, it is mostly (80 per cent in 2009) fermented and lees-aged for eight months in seasoned French oak barriques. The 2009 vintage is fragrant, with aromas of pears, cream and nuts. Full-bodied, rich and seductively soft, it is drinking well from the start, with peach and slight apricot flavours, a creamy texture, and lovely ripeness and concentration.

A fragrant and enticing viognier from Hawkes Bay, this has a strong apricot and peach nose with plenty of honeysuckle and mealy notes in behind. Lovely palate texture and smooth honey-glazed banana and peach flavour, nice length and balance; lingers sweetly with dried apricot flavour through the finish.
