This label has shown varying form in recent vintages, but the 2001 is disappointing. It's a very simple wine with under-ripe, green apple aromas and flavours and a slightly sweet finish.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
The 1997 vintage tasted in late 1998, was slightly dull, lacking fresh, vibrant fruit characters. The 1998 was partly (50 percent) matured for six weeks in French oak casks. It's a pale, very plain wine, crisp and appley but again slightly dull.
