James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Retains purple hue; plum, mulberry, herb and spice aromas; strongly structured; nice touch of sweet oak; ripe tannins.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium-bodied; clean, sweet red and black fruits, the Malbec making a positive contribution; supple and soft mouthfeel; fine, ripe tannins; exceptional value.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Youthful, medium purple-red; the bouquet is fresh and bright, showing plum with touches of spice and barely perceptible oak. The palate is equally firm, fresh and extremely youthful; one is left to wonder whether it spent some time in tank to preserve that freshness prior to being bottled.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the bouquet is pristinely clean and fruit-driven; a marvellously lively and elegant wine on the palate with cherry/berry fruit, a touch of spice, and only minimal oak influence.
