Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
A complex and layered impression from the outset here. This shows a fresh cherry and spice nose with gently toasty oak, some spice and orange pekoe tea. The palate delivers stone fruit flavours amid dark plum fruit flavour; plenty of tannin building through the finish here.

Fresh and bright, with slightly jubey nose showing a perfumed lift. Soft in the mouth, with slightly sweet/sour flavours.

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage was grown in Marlborough and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques (35 per cent new). Finely scented, it is full-coloured and mouthfilling, with fresh, vibrant plum, spice and slight liquorice flavours, and supple tannins. The 2010 is the best yet. Harvested at over 24 brix, French oak-aged for 11 months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is beautifully scented. Already delicious, it is complex, savoury and supple, with lovely colour and depth of plum, cherry and spice flavours, finely textured and harmonious. A real standout.
