Terrazas de los Andes Terzas Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This is a big, lush style of cab sav out of Argentina that shows lots of dark fruits, flaked tobbaco and generous hits of toastiness on the nose. The palate is quite full-bodied with liberal licks of oak, a cherry flavoured middle, fine tannins, and a dry, slightly spicy finish. It really does need a slab of beef to wrestle with.

Winemaker's Notes

The 2010 vintage was classic and satisfactory. Weather conditions determined significantly pronounced seasons, considering that spring frosts reduced yield and helped increase grape quality. Summer was mild, whilst autumn was cool, dry and long. This led to a slow ripeness, resulting in distinct varietal, naturally acid and fruity wines.

Elegant deep red with black highlights in the glass, this wine oozes intense fruit notes such as blackberry, cherry & plum with sweet spivy hints. The aromas are excellently combined with bitter chocolate & smooth toasted notes, coming from barrel ageing.Intense and well balanced, the tannins are delicate, smooth & well-rounded. A long & elegant final with a great concentration of fruits.
