Malbec is one of those varieties that really doesn't get the credit it deserves. They are luscious, full-bodied, dry wines that are perfect with grilled and roasted red meats, and they are a great alternative to cab sav. This comes from the one of the top malbec producing countries, Argentina, and displays dense aromas of black and red cherries, earthy spices, blueberries, and toastiness on the nose. The palate is sweetly-fruited and deep, with more cherry flavours, licks of earthy savouriness and mocha oak, vibrant acidity, solid tannins, and a dry, fruity finish.
