I love a bit of Cotes du Rhone – not the biggest, baddest wines in the world, but they certainly give plenty of pleasure. From the brilliant 2009 vintage comes this elegant, earthy dry red with silky fine tannins. By itself, or with a meaty lunch it is an absolute winner with a half bottle just enough for a mid-week glass or two.
The wine has a red, clear and intense colour followed by aromas of black and red currant
It is youthful in the mouth, fresh, and reveals flavours of pepper and liquorice.

Terre De Mistral Wine Reviews and Accolades
Warm, sandy and devotional – has abundant red fruit flavours like cherry and strawberry along with a little regional garrigue – some licorice root sweetness comes through with air. Plenty of flavour impact and has a pleasant meatiness too. Those aforementioned sandy tannins are appropriately rustic and give the wine some shape. Has decent length. A bit warm and brazen, but a good interesting wine. - Gary Walsh, winefront.com.au
