Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
Maturing very gracefully, the 2009 vintage is a multi-site blend, fermented with indigenous yeasts and barrel-aged. Deep and youthful in colour, it is fragrant, with generous cherry, plum and spice flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak, and excellent richness, complexity and harmony.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
Grown at Omihi and on the Waipara valley floor, the 2007 vintage is a sweet-fruited, richly flavoured wine with gentle tannins and savoury, forest floor notes adding complexity. The 2008 is a multi-site blend, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in seasoned French oak barrels. It's a flavoursome wine with some complexity, but also green-edged, with some early development showing.
