Rob Geddes MW (2008 Vintage) says
Looking very fresh at 5 years old. The aromas slightly jammy with a marmite savoury back drop, and text book for ripe Australian malbec with the berry and jubey obviousness. The palate is warm with alcohol, filled with soft tannin structure and bright berry fruit middle palate and the fine tannins continue to build along the palate. The finish is berry fruit and fine grape tannins with subtle vanilla caramel oak on the finish and its mature. Good restaurant wine.

Malbec shows great promise, all wines were youthful with a floral raspberry lift, very consistent in style, deep strong colours appealing flavoursome juicy mid palate with distinctive fine-grained tannins to finish.

"This wine is proof that 2006 was a brilliant vintage," said one judge. Very fresh, floral fruit with crushed herb notes. Still has loads of tannins.

Dark, spicy fruits with some confit characters; the mid-palate seems to dip structurally before fine tannins on the finish.
