The Lane Lois Blanc de Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Somewhere in the Adelaide Hills there’s a Lane and it’s here that they make premium quality, cool climate wines that are refined and regional. This sparkling little number is bound to put you in the mood for celebration as it’s just so drinkable and full of effervescent energy. As befitting the quirks of the winery, this wine is called Lois, put it together and you get Lois Lane. Silly jokes aside, the wine is full of apple and cracked wheat aromas with a rich vein of citrus. It has a refreshing mineral palate with clean lemony flavours and firm acids, so it works well with seafood.

Winemaker's Notes

Colour: Palest lemon, Green hues.

Bouquet: Lemon sorbet, cracked wheat, fresh green apple.

Palate: Clean lemon, lime and minerality. Fine bead and taut acid length.

Expert Reviews

Tyson Stelzer says
High in the Adelaide Hills, The Lane is home to one of South Australia’s finest chardonnay vineyards, expressing itself with the same purity and fruit-focused precision in sparkling guise as it does in still. A refreshing aperitif style of pear, apple and lemon.
