Rob Geddes MW (2009 Vintage) says
Big intense colour and aroma of fruit chutney with plums, cloves and a minerality. The buoyant fruit on the palate is all class with blackberry and long with very silky tannins and incredibly positive given the year with supporting acidity, caramel, plum and the finish is fresh and squeaky. In 2013 a full bodied firm finishing dry red that you can drink now or cellar with confidence.

This is lavish stuff big bold and generous old-vine velvet smooth tannin sweet-fruited South Australian style so beloved of many. Wines made in characteristic style of fleshy force which drinks well on release.

Very youthful colour; massively proportioned, with lots of flavour and plenty of depth; very clean and quite fruit-sweet, with a mere hint of toastiness in the background; long and rich.

Holding hue and depth very well; a massive wine, with layers of black fruits, the tannins still to fully soften and integrate. Leave it alone for another 5 years.
