Established in 1975, Thistle Hill has been turning out organic wines since 1984, and this offering is made from fruit sourced throughout the Central Ranges of NSW. It comes across as a bit fuller-bodied than their other reds, and has a bit more oak, with smells of dark berries and cherries, red plums and delicate florals, with hints of earthy spices. The palate is elegant and spicy, with a black and red berry core, licks of earthy savouriness, a fine line of tannins, and a decent liquoricy finish.

Thistle Hill is nestled in the Cudgegong Valley on the outskirts of Mudgee, NSW. Founded in 1975, Thistle Hill is one of Australia's longest operating organic wineries.

Appearance: Deep purple red.

Nose: Lifted blackberry, spice and violet characters on the nose.

Palate: The palate is immaculately structured and balanced, with blueberry, redcurrant and liquorice flavours, leading to a long savoury finish.
