Michael Cooper (2012 Vintage) says
Good example of the regional style, with fresh, vibrant, peachy, slight buttery and toasty flavours, complexity from 35 per cent barrel fermentation and well-rounded finish. Enjoyable young.

Michael Cooper (2011 Vintage) says
Classic regional style - fresh, sweet-fruited and softly textured, with strong, ripe, peachy, slightly toasty and buttery flavours. Delicious drinking now onwards.
March/April 2013
Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
From Villa Maria, the 2010 was fermented in tanks and barrels. It's a high-flavoured wine, vibrant, peachy and toasty, with ripe-fruit characters and a smooth, slightly buttery finish. The 2011 vintage (tasted prior to bottling and so not rated) was grown at Patutahi and Manutuke, and fermented in tanks (80 per cent) and barrels (20 per cent). In its infancy, it tasted crisp and citrusy, with strong, pure Chardonnay fruit flavours to the fore.
