Three Hills Sangiovese

Cracka Review

Colour: Red with a red hue.

Nose: An attractive aroma of black olive, licorice, plum skin, sour cherry and spice.

Palate: A medium weight wine with intense sweet fruit displaying flavours of sour cherry, red fruit, black olive and a slight peppery note. The palate is defined by powerful mouth coating tannins that are fine and savoury with great persistence on the palate. This wine combines both fruity and savoury elements to produce a wine that is distinctly varietal and perfect for Mediterranean food.

Typically dry and dusty character pervades the nose and palate of this Italian variety. But the middle palate displays an appealing plumpness controlled with fine firm tannins and a light touch of oak. It's a perfect food wine with those pasta and meat dishes.

In addition to the classic structure and varietal characters of sangiovese this tidy wine has a distinctive regional leafiness. It's a medium to lightish bodied wine of effortless ease and length Dry savoury finish with flavours of cherry and light red berry. A little cedar and earthiness adds some complexity. Excellent food wine.
