James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Clear, bright crimson-purple; the fragrant red fruit bouquet leads into a fresh, light-to medium-bodied palate, finely boned tannins giving sufficient texture and structure to carry it through for up to 5 years.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Clear, bright crimson-purple, virtually identical to that of the Õ11; both the bouquet and the palate have greater weight and complexity to the red and dark berry fruits; the overall mouthfeel is more supple and satisfying.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
There's a slightly rustic, meaty side to this pinot that will split the room - savoury meets lifted spice and ripe dark cherries. The palate has breezy, crisp acid supporting ripe cherry fruit flavour, some herbal edges and a little chocolate. Nice tannin shape, but best drink this early in its trajectory.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Bright, light crimson-purple; a fragrant bouquet with spicy red fruit aromas, then a lively, juicy red fruit palate; has developed very well over the past 12 months.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Very deep purple-red colour; of heroic proportions, with masses of dark plum and spice fruit, reminiscent of some Central Otago pinots. A 10-year pinot.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Generous but not jammy; supple blood plum fruit; good tannins, oak and length.
