Torzi Matthews Frost Dodger Riesling

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Smoky and deeply flavoured, with Alsace-like roundness, softness and richness, it's scented with smoky, rather funky aromas of peach, pear, apple and lime juice. Heavily worked and textured, with loads of reductive complexity beneath its strong impression of fruit, it finishes with excellent length and soft, tangy acids. An adventurous wine involving some risk-taking, and one best to let aerate before drinking.

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
Bright, captivating Eden Valley stone- and citrus-fruit nose -quite savoury and bristling with fresh-ground mineral spark. The palate delivers a simple sweet-sour crunch, with lime, lemon and green-apple flavour. Closure Screwcap

Jeremy Oliver (2007 Vintage) says
Musky and spicy, this long, restrained and elegant riesling is very slow to unravel its lime juice, freshly cut apple, pear and tea tin-like qualities, but they do build nicely alone the palate. Supported by a typical Eden Valley chalkingss it's finely balanced, if indeed initially slightly reductive.
