James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Picked from the two best blocks on the estate, part tank-and part barrel-fermented, then aged on lees for 8 months prior to bottling. The approach has worked well, with white peach and honeydew melon, rather than oak, dominating the long, well-balanced palate.
Australian Wine Companion 2014 Edition 2013
James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Bright, fresh green-straw; although the wine was barrel-fermented and kept in oak for 10 months, all the focus is on the fresh stone fruit, melon and pear flavours of the very long palate.
Australian Wine Companion 2012 2011
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Well made, allowing the regional expression of chardonnay (built around length not depth) to express itself in the smooth nectarine and melon fruit, the oak minimal.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Light- to medium-bodied; similar to the '06 Sojourn except for an obvious touch of barrel ferment oak; well-made within its limitations
Australian Wine Companion 2008 2007
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Attractive wine; melon, stone fruit and cashew flavour with good length and balance.
