Cracka Review

Rich and balanced showing lifted fruit aromas of pepper, plum, dark cherry and chocolate. The palate is long with fruit sweetness balanced by fine oak tannins.

Trentham Estate Heathcote Shiraz

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Clear red-purple; the depth of fruit on the bouquet and medium-bodied palate belies the colour; ripe satsuma plum and spice/pepper nuances drive the bouquet and palate alike, oak a means to an end, not an end in itself.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Good hue, although not especially deep; by the standards of Heathcote, unusually elegant; the aromatic bouquet is followed by a light- to medium-bodied palate with a blend of spice, plum and mocha, the tannins fine, the oak balanced.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Bright colour; altogether unexpected finesse and elegance, notwithstanding the trademark of Heathcote; lots of spice and pepper accompany the red cherry and plum fruit; tannins and oak in balance

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Tony Murphy shows his masterly ability to unlock the terroir and character of the regions in the Trentham range; supple black fruits and singing tannins on the finish.
