Trentham La Famiglia Vermentino

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This easy drinking vermentino is raring to go with some barbecued calamari right now! Scents of lemon and lime citrus take centre stage on the nose and palate, along with a delicate hint of florals. It's all wrapped up in mellowing acidity leading to a smooth, citrusy finish, so whack one in the fridge and enjoy tonight.

Winemaker's Notes

An attractive, aromatic white variety grown in southern Italy, mainly on the island of Sardinia. The grapes are usually picked early to retain crisp acidity and produce wines with lively lemony characters.

Palate: The La Famiglia Vermentino is light green in colour with lifted aromas of lemon zest. A delicate and crisp wine exuding fresh citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit.

Food: Enjoy this wine while it is young as a pre-dinner drink or with seafood or white meats.

Cellaring: Made for immediate enjoyment.

Alcohol: 12.0%

Tight, fresh, crisp lemon and herb aromas; a lively finish with good acidity, all helped by moderate alcohol.
