Triplebank Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
This brand concentrates on the cooler Awatere Valley and offers a finer edge, but with a sweet herbal thread and a bright lime citrus nose. The palate s mapped out with crisp acid tang, really juicy and clean through the finish.

Michael Cooper (2011 Vintage) says
From Pernod Ricard NZ, the 2010 vintage is weighty, with an attractive mingling of tropical-fruit and herbaceous notes, crisp, slightly minerally and long. The 2011 is very aromatic, pure and punchy, with finely balanced, ripely herbaceous flavours, slightly nettley, crisp and lingering.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
This heads into the tighter, more restrained citrus fruits of the Awatere Valley, with grapefruit and lime juice ruling the roost - the wine has a superior freshness to it. Terrific tangy palate that cuts flavour into place with zesty acidity and leaves it lingering long through the finish. Superb.

Intense ´pong of canned peas and asparagus. Similar palate, with a nice tart, lemony finish.

From Pernod Ricard NZ, the 2007 vintage is a clearly herbaceous style with fresh, lively acidity, a slightly minerally streak, and good intensify of passionfruit and herb flavours.
