Truffle Hill Shiraz

Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
Quite a substantial shiraz here with lots of fruit intensity packed into a seamless beautifully crafted palate. Savoury and spicy notes on the nose with a light cedary edge. The tannins are perfectly integrated into the palate with a kind of sinewy edge. Dry savoury finish.

Blueberry-like bouquet with a smoky edge and a dash of white pepper. Excellent depth of stone-fruit flavours merged with classy oak. 3-5

This is more in the medium bodied style of shiraz with a light savoury and spicy character on the nose and palate. It's soft and supple but with fine ripe tannins and gentle oak persuasion. Easy drinking.

Dark berry fruit aromas with vanilla and pencil shavings oak. Prunes and sour cherries merge on the palate and astringent tannins give it a mouth-puckering finish. Time is all it needs. 5+
