Truffle Hill Wines Reserve Series Pemberton Riesling

Cracka Review

Appearance: - Very light straw, lime green hues, brilliant clarity.

Nose: - Lifted, quite forward grapefruit, lemon and lime aromas with mineral nuances.

Palate: - Medium bodied palate showing, generous, well defined varietal citrus fruit flavours. The palate shows richness with a core of steely acid in support. The finish is long and lingering with zesty citrus flavours persisting.

Fruit driven style all about retention of primary fruit flavours. This wine should express pure fruit clarity as the region, season and vineyard defines. This is a single vineyard estate grown wine. The fruit was hand picked and chilled in a cool room overnight before gentle whole bunch pressing to create an elegant, refined wine style. The character of the fruit and quality of the wine gives it tremendous aging potential. As it ages the flavours will become more complex, softer and honeyed.

Pale straw-green; a delicate but fragrant bouquet sets the scene, with its lime blossom aromas backed by a hint of passionfruit; a long, clean palate fulfils the promise of the bouquet.

A touch of kerosene development; quite ripe, with quince and lemon fruit; generous palate weight, with some grip and phenolic complexity
