Tuck's Ridge Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This savoury pinot noir is screaming out for some duck pancakes. Aromas of strawberries, red cherries, soft spices and earthiness decorate the nose, whilst the palate is more medium-bodied and fruity, with a bright cherry centre, licks of savouriness and dark plums, fine tannins, and a juicy finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Girly but not goony, this wine is an intentionally very delicate style of Rose with delicate lifted wild strawberry and various flowers. The palate is soft and creamy and the lovely red fruits persist into a long finish. this is what we call “summer in a bottle” grab it whilst you can as this little stunner does not stick around for long.

Tuck's Ridge Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2013 Vintage) says
Bright and clear colour heralds a finely groomed Pinot with effortless communication of its fragrant, ever so clearly varietal base; red summer fruits wreathed in a fine web of spice and invisible-but-real tannins.

Bright, clear crimson-red; an exercise in fragrance and elegance, bright red fruits and spicy notes running through the bouquet and long palate alike.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
A spotlessly clean, fragrant red fruit bouquet; abundant cherry, plum and spice flavours with seamless oak and tannins.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Exceptional colour retention, still purple-dominated; as the colour promises, still very fresh and youthful; plum and black cherry fruit with firm acidity, will be long-lived (cork permitting).
