James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Impenetrable colour; a dark and brooding bouquet of black fruits, saltbush, ironstone and fruitcake spices; the palate is muscular and deeply fruited, with chewy tannins a feature alongside ample layers of sweet fruit; long, luscious and intense, this is simply more of everything.

Named after son William, this comes from the estate Stonewell Vineyard; offers a mix of savoury and dark chocolate nuances to the underlying blackberry and plum fruit, oak obvious but not overdone

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
From the estate-owned Stonewell Road vineyard that crops at less than 2.4 tonnes per hectare. It spends 22 months in French oak hogsheads, 60% new. Has excellent colour, a cedary bouquet, then a gloriously elegant palate with black cherry and plum wrapped in a fine skein of French oak and gossamer tannins. Held in bottle for 18 months prior to release.
