James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Its Bright, clear crimson-purple colour is striking, and doesnÕt mislead; the flavours on the light-to medium-bodied palate are juicy and pure, with red and black cherry, and the tannins are fine. Oak is evident, but not the least extractive.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Mid crimson; elegance is the name of the game, and there is a feel of old-fashioned born anew; fragrant and lifted red fruit, leather and vine sap are evident on the bouquet, with a delicate seasoning of oak from a large barrel; the light- to medium-bodied palate is elegant, almost ethereal on entry, yet the length of flavour are outstanding; pure, pretty and extremely long.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Clear, bright crimson-purple; a bright, fragrant bouquet leads into a fine, light- to medium-bodied palate with juicy red fruits and regional expression in the backdrop. From a single 103-year-old vineyard; matured in a large (2700-litre) new French vat.
