Tyrrell's Rufus Stone McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon

Expert Reviews

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
We've not seen a Rufus Stone cabernet sauvignon before. It has a small amount of malbec in it too. Nice work! Rock solid. Most red drinkers will (rightly) lap this up. It's slightly minty, but mostly plummy and liquoricey (Walsh described it as having a bit of Darrell Lea action _ tooty fruity beauty!'). There's some cedary oak too. It has slightly sandy tannins and a bit of alcohol warmth, but as a grab-and-go style that doesn't really need to be cellared, it's very good.
