Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
Rose should not be influenced by oak or residual sweetness' Hawke's Bay winemakers Bruce and Anna-Barbara Helliwell believe. Their bone-dry 2006 vintage is bright, light red, with red-berry and spice aromas. Fresh, smooth and berryish, it shows very good weight and depth, in a sort of highly satisfying, 'light red' style.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Only sold directly from the winery, the attractive and satisfying 2002 vintage is a mouthfilling, fully dry Hawke's Bay rose, blended from Syrah (80 per cent) and Merlot (20 per cent). Not oak-aged, it's a full-bodied wine with strong strawberry and spice flavours and a crisp, lingering finish.
