Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
This wears the Margaret River herbs and citrus character on its sleeve in striking fashion, with some gentle hints of green apple, cut grass and gooseberry too. The palate's smoothed out with some well-handled oak-assisted texture, adding some baking-spice flavours to crisp lemon and stone fruit to close. Complex and captivating.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Light green-straw; a fragrant bouquet with grass and citrus to the fore, the partial barrel fermentation in French oak a backdrop; the palate provides a replay of what is a perfectly made, delicious wine.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Intense, complex aromas reflect both thevarietal fruit and partial barrel ferment in French oak; has excellent mouthfeel, the lemon and honey-accented fruit of the mid-palate drying out nicely on the herb and mineral finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2007 Vintage) says
A beautiful example of Margaret River semillon, with lightly toasty, vanilla and butter-like nuances beneath some pretty, nettley and cut-grass-like semillon whose juicy melon and citrusy flavours are handsomely enhanced with creamy lees-derived influences. It's tightly focused and wrapped up with a zesty dose of acidity and delivers a length and brightness that stays and stays with you.
Australian Wine Annual 2009 2008
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Light-bodied; bright, intense, fresh lemony aromas and flavours; oak all but invisible, simply adding a gloss of texture to the lingering, spotlessly clean finish; has phenomenal drive.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Very sophisticated and skilled winemaking with barrel fermentation and maturation in (old?) barriques adds more to the texture than to flavour; excellent mouthfeel; gently ripe herb and lemon flavours.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Excellent varietal character has soaked up the barrel ferment oak, leaving just a hint of lanolin; excellent balance and mouthfeel.
