Vasse River Shiraz

Expert Reviews

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
Vasse River is run by the Gredaro family and, while they've now been growing grapes in the Margaret River region for twenty years, they've lived in the area since the early 1920s - which makes them pioneers of the region. Bet they have a few stories to tell. If you're looking for a smooth, well-proportioned, tasty red, then here's a good example. It tastes mostly of dark, olive-like, curranty fruit flavours, though there's the lightest suggestion of sweet raspberries - not a bad thing. It has some musky, vanillin oak, but it works well with the wine; indeed, everything here works well.
