Veuve Ambal specialises in sparkling wine from the Burgundy region in France, but they can't call it Champagne. This one is made the same way as Champagne, but from a blend of white grapes, including chardonnay. It's quite fine and delicate in style, with aromas of citrus and honeysuckle. The palate is quite dry with a stone fruit centre, and a talcy mineral finish. It's amazing value for a touch of the exotic.
A simple, crisp apéritif style of wine, with flavours of green apples, plums and a touch of pine nuts. The wine is dry and fresh.
