The 2002 vintage is a typical northern style of Sauvignon Blanc with ripe, gently herbaceous, tropical fruit flavours, good body and a dry, rounded, lingering finish.

Light green-yellow; crisp, predominantly mineral and not particularly aromatic characters on the bouquet lead into a pleasant wine on the palate which won't frighten the horses.

The 1999 vintage is a punchy, strongly varietal wine. The majority of the blend was handled in tanks, but five per cent was fermented and matured for three months in oak barriques. Fresh and ripely herbaceous, it offers very good depth of melon/capsicum flavours, delicate and crisp, with a finely balanced, sustained finish. The 2000 is fresh, lively and crisp, with good depth of melon/lime flavours and a zesty, dryish finish.

Light to medium yellow-green; quite intense passionfruit and gooseberry aromas in soft Hawke's Bay style supported by light spicy oak. The palate shows more of those passionfruit and gooseberry flavours in a soft cushion; all in all, a flavoursome Hawke's Bay version of Sauvignon Blanc.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; the bouquet is firm, of medium intensity with touches of capsicum, earth and herbs. The excellent palate is firm, crisp, fresh and clean, with a range of flavours running through to blackcurrant and lime, and contributing to a very long, cleansing finish. Really comes together in the mouth.

The 1996 vintage is an unwooded style with enticing, fresh, ripe fruit aromas. It's a full-bodied wine with attractive melon/pineapple flavours and a smooth, fractionally off-dry finish.
