Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
An emerging star. The 2006 vintage is a powerful Hawke's Bay wine (14.5 per cent alcohol). Fermented with indigenous yeasts and lees-aged for nine months in two-year-old French oak barriques, with 40 per cent malolactic fermentation, it is notably rich, with loads of peachy, spicy flavour. Slightly oily, crisp and fully dry, it's a complex wine with a subtle oak influence and ripe, sweet-fruit flavours shining through.
