Vinteloper McLaren Vale Shiraz

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
A great result here, and a step in the right direction for this emerging label. There s cola, sarsaparilla and ripe plum fruits, ahead of licorice and aniseed. It has richness and soft-hearted McLaren Vale flesh on the palate, showing a wealth of supple and juicy plum flavours, smooth, sweeping tannins, and cardamom and clove to close. A truly satisfying McLaren Vale shiraz.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
with a much more traditional vibe for this playful new label, this weighs in with a wealth of spicy oak and dark plum-scented shiraz fruits; the oak's pretty strong, and there's some chocolate too. In the mouth, it's a hearty McLaren Vale shape with ripe dark plums, cocoa powder and vanilla/coconut oak flavour riding high. Tannins tumble ripe through the finish.
The Good Wine Guide
James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; 180 dozen bottles produced from a single vineyard in the southeastern section of McLaren Vale; it certainly is strongly regional, with a juicy dark chocolate core and a cedary/spicy edge from the tannins.
